IAT sensor placement

Has anyone experimented with the placement of IAT sensor, I have seen some photos of them being placed on the boost pipe away from the intake manifold. I am mapping a b18c turbo at the moment and notice after it has been driven hard and comes to a stop the heat soak must be affecting the sensor and ...

Solid Cel when using ectune

I have tuned with ectune before (2 years ago), i am tuning a friends car and we have recently got the license emailed to us. the car is a basic GSR turbo, while waiting for the license file we wrote a crome basemap to a eeprom to start the car. Car runs without a problem even though a tiny bit lean. ...

cool, will look into that, my setup is fine the way it is and i have no real reason to run race fuel but im just interested in it, 386hp and daily driven is more than enough. i think i would only run it if it was a track car. was thinking about building a really high compression b16 with throttle bo...

retune on race fuel/octane booster

just wondered how much you can advance the igintion with using race fuel compared to pump fuel ?. i was reading about NF Octane booster and claims to raise octane from 98Ron to 101/2 RON (UK) . is it as simply as advancing the igintion on the whole map ?

thething - i usually use a dyno so i choose what rpm to crossover by looking at the datalogs and can see where the torque falls off and where torque picks up on the high cam, if your doing it on the street i normally leave it where it is stock.

the difference is the cam profile .high cam having higher lift and longer duration , watch this video explains it really well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcT_ZyY3F0k&feature=related but on ectune you have a low and a high cam map, both can have different fuel and ignition values. you can select a...
