Re: eCtune is dead, long live eCtune!

Btw, I gave up on Calvin after he fucked us all on the licenses. Great software but he was a total dick. It's cool see HST. Anyone try it yet? I have actually been looking at Speeduino and looking to get into developing my own stuff rather than having to wait on the Calvin's in the world. Plus it wo...

Serial is better because it uses a discrete time input rather than a continuous time input. What this means is that it is less susceptible to noise and voltage offsets. What you see on the gauge is what the program will read.

I tested this and it does work. Not sure why it isn't working for you. I haven't tried the serial in a while though so I am not sure if it is a software update issue or not.

There are so many people out there that won't listen to sound advice so I hear ya man. I have issues like you have had before. Here is an example: Guy wants me to tune his turbo car and has a MSD box. I tell him that it will prally not work. He is amazed I would say that and wants to keep it on the ...

I spent all my money on books and tuition and there are too many things on my car that are broken..... Ill just have to wait to go back to the track later. I hear you on that. I was fortunate enough that this semester I could get all my books used as I am getting to senior level classes. This part ...

You are really not missing out on much info with the knock sensor as it was never meant for performance, but rather emissions and fuel mileage. The frequency at which it reads is very narrow and at lower RPM's. I have also heard that it is only used in closed loop. Maybe someone else can confirm thi...

I go to piedmont from time to time also. Their track is usually either crap, or ok depending on what events might be going on. Would love to see your car out there. Maybe we can make it a eCtuner get together lol.

I deal with a lot of DSM's so MAF's are not my favorite thing. But about nistune boards: Can you set me up where I do not have to buy a realtime board and can use my ostrich's to tune with, then just burn some chips? Kinda like use the board that Moates sells with an individual license from you? Jus...

If you can mount a Honda distributor to your cam, you open a world of possibilities... I myself am not keen on Nissan ecu's but I do know that you can make the Honda controls work on other motors/makes. I have thought about this already but I would really like to avoid doing this because of all the...
