I have used a chassis ear for listening for detonation for years with great success. I used to use it dyno tuning STIs and was able pick up knock just before the factory KS would, logging into a UTEC or protuner. I mostly use it on the street now and have one of the clamps taken apart and bolted to ...

wouldn't that elbow just cause more backpressure and promote reversion? That would just lower his knock threshold and would have been tuned around. The car wasn't knocking up top was it?

I just use the fuel cut now. It was just too loud and smokey to have both. Open wastegate is enough attention for me.

So tip in adjustments are not calculated on the raw fuel value you see in the maps? Can you enter in a value greater than 100% in either direction?

pump is 91 in Texas? For reference on my 81.5mm b18/b16 head, I'm running ~14.75* at 10psi on 91 octane and 8.8:1 CR with 11:1 AFR...no knock as it is, but I do have timing corrections in place for ECT and IAT.

Neat project. I wanted to do this on my friends 16v/ABA block setup but it never happened. I remember not being sure about the vss, but i'm sure you'll get it. I always hated how numb old VWs felt, that's cool that it works a little snappier.

Lovely job! I'm sure it is easy to wire since you have all your CKP CKF and TDC sensors in the distributor. What did you do for VSS?

Topic: how to set decel fuel cut?

The error code1 is caused by the inproper tune of column 1 -this is where ECU reads values if fuelcut does not enable and you are off the throttle. If these values are set too high, lambda will quickly ruun into very rich reading when off the throttle. These sudden readings from normal AF ratio to ...
