233hp/159tq - 2.0L All Motor

Went to the dyno to clean up the WOT maps. Had to move VTEC up to 6850 in order to get a nice transition. Overall I'm happy with the results. This bottom end has over 25,000 miles and is still running strong. Engine info: 85mm x 87.2mm 12:1 Compression CP Pistons Eagle Rods w/ARP2000 fasteners Stock...

I can live with it just fine. The rich condition does not affect driveability. I was hoping it is possible to tune it out, but apparently not. Thanks everyone.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post. Are you saying this is normal on eCtune? I've tuned many platforms before, and tip-in/tip-out can be tuned to keep AFR's at or around target. I would argue that it is not normal to have a rich condition during tip-out when the tip-out trim is maxed out to a remo...

Tip-Out Rich Condition

I am trying to tune out a rich condition during tip-out. It occurs during both an abrupt tip-out, and slow tip-out. Screen images below show both quickly letting off the throttle and slowly letting off the throttle. The cells that the map passes through during tip-out are all tuned between 14.6-15.0...

To get the new Innovate MTX-L to work with eCtune: -I installed Logworks and the drivers on the CD that came with the kit -Plugged in my serial/usb converter -Used device manager to see what COM port was default -Selected that COM port in eCtune with 'Serial Logging' enabled Simple as that, and it w...

That error response is due to the UAC not being disabled. Windows Vista/Windows 7: 1. Install the latest Microsoft .net framework 2. Disable UAC 3. Re-Install eCtune You can use this to view data logs (if you have the corresponding .cal file) and allow you to play with the software.

In short, I would like to tune a region of the map slightly leaner (low-load cruising), and have the ECU target a specific O2 voltage. I would still use the MAP cutoff to switch to open-loop when desired. You could argue that a well tuned open loop map with seasonally tuned compensation tables can d...

Closed Loop Target AFR for Wideband Input

Is there a way to build a full RPM/Load table for Closed Loop Target AFR when wideband closed loop is enabled? I've built a full RPM/Load table for the target AFR for the fuel table overlay, but that does not tie into the Closed Loop feedback. Right now I only see a single value ('Parameters' > 'Fue...

Well... Tried a known working ECU. Analog input voltage still all over the place. I'm going to borrow another wideband kit next and test that. If the O2 analog output from that wideband has an inconsistent voltage, then I know it is a problem with wiring/grounding on the vehicle. I would REALLY like...

I wish I could serial log... That will be the next fix, although I'll likely need Calvin's help getting that to work.

I really appreciate the help. The FJO analog output is actually a 0-3.5v, might have to do with it using the Honda NTK sensor. Back when I used my old PR3 on CROME, I was able to use D14 just fine (read with almost no offset). Since 3v on the FJO is 19:1 AFR, I've never had to do the 5v mod. On this...

I added a 0.luF cap to between the analog ground and analog output. No difference. I found my old chipped ECU that quit working some time ago. I was using it to compare with the one I am using now. My old ECU is an OBD1 PR3 B16 ECU that I chipped myself using a Moates kit. This ECU read my wideband ...

Thank you for the reply. How would I go about adding a ground from the Ostrich-2 to the ECU board? I thought about testing another ECU... I'm sure I can get one locally to test. I remember installing a PLX Wideband on a Demon/eCtune setup last year, and the PLX instructions had a capacitor to instal...

What's the distance the analog out runs unshielded to the ecu? How far from the ecu plug is it soldered in? Is its shield to a ground wire or chassis ground? Is the analog out's ground (should have an independent ground) soldered to the ecu harness o2grou d within 2 inches of the ecu? There are man...
