i looked into vm ware and there is a non open source version of it for ubuntu that has much better usb support, then the open one...the next thing...if calvin isn't using a funky way of accessing the usb it should in theory be just fine...xp in vm ware using an ipod doesn't work very well with apple...

ekrboi, why don't you install ubuntu on your laptop and then run vm ware and install xp inside vm ware? xp would run inside ubuntu and when your need ectune you could load it up in vm ware while in ubuntu...i am going to give this a shot in the next couple weeks when i have time...service pack 1 cam...

you have bisi in your cal name...your runing a bisi cam? what stage? it took me a while to get the idle set right with my bisi cam...and it did certainly like 13.5 as an idle point...have u had this engine running on crome with the same set up with no problems??

i personally just grounded it to the chassis of the car in mine...all soldered together to one point..with no extension of the innovative wires...u don't really want to be chasing the lean edge of things to make power...timing is were the power is made..my machinist / old school tuner once said to m...

really dumb question here...if your driving around on a stock ecu with this engine...and feel just fine doing that...why even bother have ectune?? almost seems pointless...unless u take it to a skilled tuner..i have my doubts u could do better then the engineers at honda to make a map for your car.....

big question here...were these pulls done with the same load on the car?? u can do your iat corrections and change how much fuel it adds to the map under certain conditions...was the engine temp the same on both pulls? was the air temp the same on both pulls...things like that should be considered a...

why don't u tap into the wire and send the wide band signal to the ecu also on d14?? and data log the afr via the d14 input...an old local tuner told me that is the best way and minimizes any delay of data..so u actually are seeing what the ecu is seeing... just my two cents...

the base map is a general starting point on which for u to tune from..you can go under settings and chose your own af targets for that to be based on...as for what the proper afr to be for a NA engine i have no clue...i thought stock was 14.7 ...as for vtec points...it is best set on the dyno...the ...

i haven honestly not run into this...i have had browsers open running on battery on my vaio...i have a dual core 2 ghz with 4 gb ram...and just a pentium...is this happening on battery? the centrino could possibly be slowing the speed down in battery conservation mode...i know those will throttle do...
