A lot of local laws stipulate that it must exit behind the rear bumper on a car. I've had a few American friends who have had their vehicles towed because it was deemed unsafe for this reason. Most of my cop friend have mentioned that they pull over young people with loud exhausts but leave people a...

I go to 10k very regularly and the oxygen up there is just fine. Also go to 13,500 and the oxygen up there is OK as well. Last year I went to 16,500 and when I was getting ready to jump I could feel a little hypoxia starting to set in... The boost retard you're thinking of is only a math calculation...

I just build a nice 3\" exhaust with enough resonators and mufflers that I don't get bothered. I don't like e-cutouts. They are dangerous on a few levels and they're obnoxious. I've seen the undercoating catch fire on a car with a cutout and I do know it can be unsafe from the COx emissions inside t...

The best way to do it is actually a DC->RPM table with a CLT modifier. You can usually get away with skipping the CLT modifier. So basically if the ECU determines the engine is -5 and sets a target idle RPM of 1500 then it looks up 1500 and knows that it requires approx 68% DC to achieve that so tha...

Anyone used Eagle Cranks?
I'm rebuilding a dart block. The oil pump exploded on the dyno (at only 486whp). Unfortunately it fucked up the crank. I proposed to the client that maybe we should put in an Eagle crank. Then I asked around and a few people have said that they're not even as good as the OEM honda cranks. I've never...

When the fuel prices were up I had a stream of people who had ideas from pumping water into a generator and using that to power the pump to other assorted whacky things that could never work. The biggest thing you have to keep in mind is the first law of thermodynamics. Energy cannot be created nor ...

Holy crap guys! A GT35R on a B16 spools by 5500 and that's with the 0.82 AR housing. Ask me - I did it once. The 2871R is a nice street choice and you will be well into boost by 3500. They start falling out of the sweet spot around 350whp. According to garrett you can make a max of 460bhp but that's...
