here's my take on the subject. These are my assumptions from reading from different sources. So most is based on 'hearsay' Fuel cut: pros: No fuel to ignite outside of combustion chamber (safer) No unburnt fuel, no bore wash cons: No fuel to cool combustion chamber (but intake air does cool it?) Doe...

Hi guys Can ignition cut damage the ignitor or any other component of the ignition system? Ign cut: no, it just cuts the spark.... ... ... Plus you don't wash your cylinder walls clean while under fcut. seem contradictory to me... I Would believe bore wash to be rather unhealthy for the engine... W...

Please re-read my question. I understand what closeloop is, and why/how it works. What I need to know is, what is the difference between o2 fuel trim (under fuel trim menu) and closeloop correction trim (under closeloop settings menu) As I said before: Isn't the o2 fuel trim a closeloop correction t...

Just to make sure I interpret this correctly: o2 fuel trim, trims the map for OEM style (lean to rich) closeloop opperation. (only applies when closeloop is active?). Now, my other question remains, what does closeloop correction trim (under closeloop settings menu)do? Isn't the o2 fuel trim a close...

Syncing b16A1
Hey all. Just a little sync question. I'm currently setting up a Euro B16a1 and need to sync the timing. As far as I know the b16a1 has a 15° (+/- 2°) mark(s) on the pully (as opposed to a 16° mark on newer B-series). So to correctly sync this, i'dd need to lock ectune to 15 deg using the sync to...

Need some help setting injector calibration.
hi, I've just started exploring ectune and since I can't find a definitive guid on how to initially setup the injectors, can anyone confirm if this is the correct way to do it: after creating the basemap, i load the injector calibration menu, fill in the fields, and adjust the 'injector offset' unti...

I can confirm that the 2.2.4 drivers are bad. I've upgraded to 2.4.16 and the hard lockups are gone. I've done 2 20-30min datalogs now withouth any problems. For anyone with lockup problems, download these latest drivers: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM%202.04.16%20WHQL%20Certified.zip Do a ...

I'm having the same problem. I think I have the same driver (can't check right now) and have the same latency setings. those were the recommended settings i found somewhere, although I noticed the xenocron support section suggests setting latency to \"1\" for both devices. i'll install the latest FT...
