Odd ignition timing vs emissions

I know emissions tends not to be a top priority around tuning circles but I still need my car to pass NJ state. Which it did this morning!! First time in 6 years thanks to being able to use ectune/demon altering shit on the fly during the test. So here's what happened and I'm hoping the car guru's o...

So do they essentially do the same thing? One adds raw fuel values to the tables, and one seems to act like a mulitpier on the end. Would seem the overall result is the same? We must be missign something that creates a need for two fields doing the same job.

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps this has been part of my headache where i was using the wrong feature set. If you wouldn't mind, and if you know, could you clarify what the FV injector offest actually does? I think I understand fuel trim, where it simply adds a percentage ontop of the final value effe...

injector offset vs overal fuel trim.

When people talk about adjusting offset at idle to get 14.7 are they refering to the injector offset or the overall fuel trim. I had been doing this using the injector cal tool, which says on the very bottom adjust offset at idle and has two large buttons + and -. When these are clicked though it ac...

Alright.. I think i'll start over once again with your maps and do as you suggest. The only reason I wanted close loop to work is the car still needs to pass NJ state emissions testing.

Well that sucks. What happened to this? http://forum.ectune.com/viewtopic.php?t=1922&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=demon+onboard+datalog&start=90 I understand that too, but if there were so many testers out there for so long, you would think that the programmers of the top softwares would get a...

how do you access datalog on demon?

I'm refering to the on chip datalog storage in the demon device. I can access normal dataloggingwhile the car is rinning with the laptop. Moates says the demon should have 4mb of data storage on board. This is what I want to try to access.

need help, can't figure this out.

I missing somethign important on how to setup all this shit. I've tried varous ways, and I always end up with some sort of problem. I've tried runnign the basemaps, my own map, and topmount's high res n/a maps. The first step I've read is load up what ever base map, i'll use topmounts as I liked his...

Wait.. I reread your post a few mores times. Are you saying grounding the lc-1 output onto d22, where all the other sensors ground is the best solution instead of grounding where the entire ecu grounds?

THe ecu ground is on the thermostat housing. I'm sorry but i'm not understanding what you're getting at. The all the sensors ground to the ecu via pin d22. The ecu then has THREE pined grounds on a26 a23 and a24. All three of these are tie into Ground G101, including the shields for the shielded wir...

Well.. that what I did. It's grounded on the same terminal as the ecu ground, so you can't get any better. I think I might have even soldered the ring terminal to the ecu's ring terminal, but I dont' remember for sure. The lc-1 has been in the car for nearly 2 years now. I did just about everything ...

I grounded my lc-1 on the thermostat. Which should be the ecu ground as well. I got power from a fuse box option connector. Still have an offset. Thinking about rewiring it to the ground and power wires right at the ecu. Supposedly that helps elimnate offset. THough it should only be the power wire ...

sensors not showing in sensor panel?

I'm using ectune pro and a demon. Setup the basemap with the create basemap doodad. Picked p72 ecu and p72-273 as the code. I can't seem to get the knock sensor to show in the sensor panel. It's enabled in the parameters section, but in the display panel it skips over it. SHows batt volage, ELD volt...
