Nobody ever told me anything about doing this.. I came across someone who did it in hardware.. MPGuino, an Atmega168-based fuel consumption monitor http://store.fundamentallogic.com/ecom/ ... x&cPath=22 you can make it or buy it as a kit..

It's definitely reacting... in my car, I can see small AFR change between 10.5 and 12.5 afr when I make small changes to the ect correction for the appropriate temperature.. outside that afr range, it stalls. At 10.5 afr it is steady but idles really low and stalls..the closer to 12.5 afr the more u...

As for ECT correction tables.. I tried many different values in the positive range... it seems I can only go to +99.. no positive value really helped.. instead of idling real low, it would surge a few times and still die. It only takes about 40-90 seconds of constant running before my engine heats p...

Question.. in my non-boosted B16, the last column is set to 1024. With the cold temps and high baro, I am reading a WOT map pressure of about 1050... and ECTune only hilights two cells in the last column instead of 4 cells.. Could this cause a similar problem to what you guys are talking about with ...

There are different thermostats open temperatures available thru Napa... you should change out for the highest value you can find to combat your radiator cooling efficiency.. or, during wintertimes, do like the truckers do and put a piece of cardboard or thin sheet of steel or aluminum in front to c...

Did you see his ect corrections? @ 30 deg F he has 40, I have 25. @167 deg F he has 12, I have 2. Why is it that I don't have a problem with this? :? Originally, that's what my ECT corrections were.. but I made a small improvement by adjusting my ect corrections with those changes. Before, when tem...

I don't know if it's fixed, but I changed the ECT timing from 3.00 to 28.00 for the temperature I was having trouble, and when I started today at 45F, it ran much better. I made a few other tweaks to IAT compensation for same temperature.. if it works, I'll post the new cal..

Back to working on this. After I met up with Dave at PRI, I made a few changes to my ECT trims. I'm not sure if I'm headed in the right way or what may be too much correction.. is there a limit to it? Of particular concern/problem is when my ECT is between 30 and 60F. The car barely idles around 500...

Ok... well lost settings if you click \"quit\".. if you continue, it seems like it may accept the change and may work.. but I didn't test this time in my car.

I saw another post: http://forum.ectune.com/viewtopic.php?t=1389 and here is what I tried.. I uninstalled Ectune. Renamed the ectune folder. reinstalled the latest version and copied my license.xml to the new directory. Still get the same above error message twice during the initial load of ectune. ...

Unusual error after upgrading to 0.0.2.2r2

After I did force update, when i first loaded ectune again, I got this error twice during load. After it completed, I closed out and re-opened, the error did not reappear. Is it of any significance?

My theory is this: There is a grid basically of injector duration vs manifold pressure (As the fuel pressure regulator is map-regulated) Then off this you have RPM vs Speed (Gear conversion) which gives you 5 linear scales for number of pulses per mile. If you combine the two and use some statistica...

Calculate MPG in real-time

I was thinking about making a tool that would compare RPM vs Spd vs Injector duration and plot it to statistically calculate MPG. Does this sound like crazy-talk or do you think I might get 'good' results from this method?

If this is true... then a possible fix would be to make it so we can utilize the EBC function for this purpose.. (IE output on PCS pin) When car is at certain RPM range /manifold vacuum, pulse PCS output. outside that range, hold the output at a set level to prevent it from causing a vacuum leak. At...
