Put in out behind the left headlight and then see how it acts. your hose will be alittle longer but not much. Or you can try inthe fenderwell behind the headlight area.

Shouldnt your WBO2 be reading 20.xx in free air? I know mine reads 20.8 on CAL at 29.92 @400ish feet elevation. If I am not mistaken, once you are past the event that you suspect detonation has occured, you have removed the trace of it from the plug. The plug would only reflect what happened at that...

I couldnt agree more. Looks like I get to degree mine again JD. Going to machine shop with head to get it milled for a new HG. No worries though, she's still running.

Did you mod the cap in any way? I drilled an extra .032 hole in the bottom of my last cap before selling the whole assembly. I was told that adding the extra vent would help with ozone buildup. I dont have any info on whether ozone can cause corrosion though so I am not sure if it helped.

The caps are inferior as well. They corrode quickly and wear out the rotor due to the increased distance to the pole inside the cap. I personally went through 4 caps and 6 first gen. Might want to keep some of the CTRL + * keys due to street tuning. I frequently hit keys not meaning to due most cars I have been in lately are lowered and the slightest bump sends my hand forward usually.
