May be a good idea to change the TPS to start from -1% or -2%. May be at idle ECU sees TPs under 0.

How long did you wait for the new license. I'm trying to contact Calvin for the last couple of days with no luck and I have a track event this weekend :(

I know it's old thread but ... I'm building B20B block with B16 head for turbo and will be installed in '92 Civic hatchback converted to AWD and I was wondering how much is safe with stock sleeves? I will install block guard and/or block posting as well. Or should I resleeve the block. I'm talking f...

Spark Plug Reading

Are those iridium plugs? I still consider myself noobish to reading plugs but based off of the one picture I can see, I think those plugs are too hot. The ground strap looks good, but if the plugs are too hot, then you shouldn't rely on the timing mark. If your getting detonation, try reducing the ...

Spark Plug Reading

OK. I was driving the other day and was trying to read my spark plugs. Around 5000rpm I hear detonations and I stopped the engine right when it is detonating and changed the plugs and later took pictures to show them to you all and hear what you can say from looking at the pictures. So here are the ...

Thanks for the help. I already read this thread and it really helps. I just wonder if the plugs need to be new to be read. And what do you use to clean them prior reading - gasoline works? I'm waitin for some NGK 4554s and 10x magnifying dlass to arrive and will be playing with reading the plugs and...

Re: Getting Started

Is there a tutorial for beginners that goes over all the stuff you need to do to get the old car dialed in and idling? good links perhaps? thanks much! I wish there was a tutorial as you say but I don't think you will find one. But you must know that most of the people will try to help you if you a...
