Props go to Almighty-Si :) I´ll be back july 8th-11th. There´s the truck GP on that weekend, making it a little harder to find hotels. But on the other hand, as most hotels are booked by Stetson-wearing people on the binge, that means more room at the Nordschleife for us :D /Allan

Yes it does have an external oil cooler, but the engine itself is completely standard. I didn´t manage to do an eCtune log round the ´ring itself this time - planning to get that done in July. /Allan

eCtune at the Nürburgring

eCtune is definitely not only useful for the quartermile. I just returned from the Nürburgring with a couple of friends on eCtune, amongst them an EK4 with a bone stock engine + GT2554 turbo. ~240 horsepower might not sound like much, but in a relatively light car with a wide torque band, a decent ...

I don´t see how gap comes into play, however I find it likely that there´s a mechanical reason of some sort. For example, either: 1) Base timing is off. Make sure the TDC mark on the crank is accurate against actual TDC, then check/adjust distributor with a known-good timing gun. eCtune allows you...

I normally get mine in the days up to the old one expiring, so at least for me it´s been working well for a long time. Try getting hold of Gaskleppie it seems he can sometimes get word to Calvin when he´s otherwise out of Internet contact for a while. /Allan

Depending on how much has been done in your map, it could be a simple matter. Remember to adjust the cranking multiplier and other settings to accomodate the injectors higher flow. This is more a \"what feels right and crisp\" kind of thing and not so much \"dial in to AFR xx\". I usually also tune ...

NSX engine management recommendations?

Seems like I´ll be involved in an NSX to be used at the Nürburgring (Public days, so this´ll be a street car) It will likely be one of the early ones (because of cost). So, what to do for engine management? Is the stock system/code OK for simple filter/exhaust mods og is some aftermarket ECU the ...

I would hesitate to do an \"import\" or copy-paste from a different program and expect everything to line up - in all likelyhood it won't. :) In the Crome days I couldn´t even do this between P30 and P72 codebase ROMs - even though both were made in the same program. I would do the following: Make ...

I do believe Calvin is still the guy to contact for the \"business\" part of things. But in case you´re interested, there will be a couple of eCtuned cars at the Nürburgring Nordschleife this Easter weekend (in 20 days from now). I´ll be happy to give you a demonstration, just let me know in adva...

If the fuel pump was the limiting factor, you won´t need to up the fuel pressure. Try to run it without any mechanical changes first. Remember the rule of thumb is: Double fuel pressure results only in a 50% increase in fuel flow. So if the actual problem is that the injectors can´t flow enough......

With any luck, your old hard drive could still be working... Get one of those USB harddrive enclosures, yank the old drive out of the dead laptop and mount it on your new laptop. Copy CAL files off the old partitions, job done :) I´m not sure where exactly the CAL file is placed on the Pro eCtune v...
