I confirmed ECT and CTS fuel corrections work, but the car is just plain wierd. Idles at 12.2 one second, stoich the next, until coolant temps hit 160-165 degrees F at which point it runs right. Anyway, I added a stick of RAM to the laptop today, boots faster and feels a little snappier. XP claims 2...

I was getting errors and no connections with autoscan, eCtune crashing was a product of manual configurations. In the future I'll just try to restart the application and then try a reboot.

Sorry to not have replied promptly, I've been running around over family and school related stuff. As far as the COM errors, sometimes the Ostrich and HULOG cables got plugged into different places on the USB hub, or I used a different USB hub which caused them to appear on different COM ports. eCtu...

It's a pretty simple procedure to figure out how many ms extra charge time results from X extra degrees advance at Y rpm. It's a pretty simple procedure to figure out the charge time of an inductor in an LR circuit, and to compare it to published figures found elsewhere in this forum. I have no excu...

The torque curve tapers like the boost tapers. If the boost stayed steady the torque curve would remain flat as a strap; the BC cams are interesting. The dip was where the coil glitched for a second due to me big hammering it with too much dwell.

Target AFR tables can be edited, but the changes aren't saved. I believe this has been addressed elsewhere. I suspect ECT vs fuel warmup correction does not work in .39 and .40, I found it impossible to change AFRs on warmup via this table. COM errors crash eCtune. I am 100% NOT SURE but I suspect s...

It was claiming 83%, I figured I'd bag 600 at 88-90% duty. 0.39 bsfc doesn't suck. I think the 11.x wastegate spring is too soft and causing all the boost taper issues. Shadyside tonight for some sweet 1/8th mile times.

I appreciate that, Calvin. I'm having trouble extracting more power from this car. The best the boost controller will do for me is 31 psi tapering to 27 psi: http://www.redpepperracing.com/gallery/d/182250-1/585+whp+31+tapering+to+27+psi.jpg Notice the slight dip in the powerband due to a misfire? No, it's not Goforth's. There is nothing remotely volumetrically efficient about his CRX. It hits peak horsepower at 6700 rpms and holds it flat as a strap until 9500 because the compressor is sucked dry. It'll see eCtune in due time. Having 19 year old kids think I'm a tuning god is getting old. It...

The new couplers are supposed to arrive monday, but we decided to give it a try today anyway. All the charge pipe was wired together and the couplers were wrapped in gorilla tape to give the t-bolt clamps something to bite into. Car was broken in + will live on Torco 110, sorry I forgot to mention. Past 11 psi the engine started wanting a lot LESS timing. Pretty interesting, started shedding a deg/psi up to the 418 @ 16 psi bit. Calvin, not yet. I got the lecture from Dave B, tho, and ran an earlier .bin he provided.

The goal for today was to break 500 whp, and due to substandard non-ply silicone couplers continuously slipping off we decided to pack it in until replacements could be sourced. Anyhoo...
