Re: Accord F22 Turbo

It should be very possible to turbo that car. The problem is going to be money because I dont think you can do it on the cheap. But then I dont think you should do any major mods like a turbo on the cheap. That being said lets look at what you would need. I dont know of any turbo kits available for...

DIY: main bearing oiling hole mod

This DIY will show you a way to enlarge the main bearing oiling holes. I take no responsibility for anything you mess up by doing this DIY! Do it at YOUR OWN RISK! I chose to do this because the hole in the main bearings are considerably smaller than the hole in the block and the hole in the crank. ...

I made a det can from some copper tubing, shooting ear muffs, and clear braided line. That worked quite well and was very cheep. there is a diy on pgmfi somewhere.

bottom dollar turbo fab thread

This is a pretty low budget build I put together. I have spent right under $800 to convert my car from NA to boosted. Parts I got for free from my buddy Errol: This stuff was part of his old setup. I am building and tuning his new setup and it should be pretty stout. Ill post it up when its done. I ...

you should try using less throttle and see if the detonation is happening at a lighter load/ lower psi. high 11's is good for most street turbo setups imo. Its not uber rich, but still a nice cushion for sub par gas or other irregularities. You could run leaner than that and be fine (and probably ma...

Are those iridium plugs? I still consider myself noobish to reading plugs but based off of the one picture I can see, I think those plugs are too hot. The ground strap looks good, but if the plugs are too hot, then you shouldn't rely on the timing mark. If your getting detonation, try reducing the t...

Success! I pulled timing and added fuel. plugs looked good, there was a nice fuel ring at the bottom, a nice timing mark, and the plugs I had in there for a while showed discoloration on the threads. I had the 6's in there and there is 3-4 threads discolored, so I threw in some 7's and I am going to...

OK fuel pressure is rock solid. I have a log where my afr is just going completely nuts. I don't think its the wideband acting up because of all the other fuel related problems I have, but I am not going to rule that out.

I would think that until the charge piping between the feed to the turbo and the outlet of the supercharger reaches atmospheric pressure, the supercharger is not a restriction and is only helping. Once the turbo is trying to pull more air than the SC is suppling, you should see a vacuum in that sect...

I am pretty sure that they were fairly tight, but I did it real quick and I was a bit hung over. I can tell what torque I am putting on a bolt (or sparkplug) pretty well, generally. I ran them in to the point where they felt nice and tight. I am going to try to do some more runs with more fuel and l...
