Yep, got a few sets of 7's last night, but I wanted to get my AFR's richened up a little bit before I went to a hotter plug. I'll be putting them in and checking them out later today when I get off work.

Now that I think about it, and check my .cal out, I tried to set the target AFR's to 14.7 at light load, 13.8 at medium, and 12.9 at high load in low cam. I noticed yesterday when I tried to set my high cam target AFR's in settings that the table wasn't being populated with the numbers I programmed....

I've only been doing mainly 3rd gear pulls when doing the plug reading. Yea, I have 13.8 @ WOT but am thinking maybe I should add a little fuel there. Maybe 13.1? I'm tuning the low cam first, trying to get it perfect and then moving on to the high cam.

I put the plugs back in tonight, and drove around doing some data logging for about 20 minutes or so. Then I did four 7k rpm WOT pulls in a row, turning the engine off at 7200 rpm the last time and pulled the plugs. Still no fuel ring at the base of the porcelain, but not seeing a whole lot of color...

Right on, I'll put them back in tomorrow and do another 4 or 6 runs to see if I can get the fuel ring to show.

Edit: Bugermass, sorry man.. I had the scalars setup wrong. This is all motor. I updated the image above to show the correction. As far as the insulator where it meets the base, I didn't see any carbon ring at all. I know my AFR's are pretty decent though according to my LC-1. That's what is confusi...

Indeed. I had thought about going with forged internals originally, but decided to go with 84.5mm cast Type R Replicas from RS Machines instead since my application is NA and daily driven. Will be doing some WOT pulls later today and pulling the plugs to read. I'll post up some pictures in a new thr...

UPDATE: Ended up being plug gap. I'm running R5671A-8 plugs and had them gapped at .042. Changed the gap to .035 and cleared everything up.

Could use some input on this .cal

New to ectune, and have spent the last few days dialing in the AFR's in my low cam map. Tonight I plugged in my det can, and was listening during some WOT pulls with the AFR's dialed in, and noticed some \"rattling\" sounds at high loads. Mostly between 929 and 1039 mbar and 3k and 3.5k RPM and then...

Ok, so is there another place to designate displacement? Or do I just use the Injector Calibration/Injector Offset Adjustment? I already have the AFR's pretty well tuned, but would like to know for future reference.

Displacement in Injector Calibration Greyed out?

Not sure if it's supposed to be, it's my first time setting up a basemap in Ectune, but the Displacement in the Injector Calibration is greyed out and won't allow me to change it. Am I just suppose to use the injector offset Adjustment for this? Attached is a screenshot.
