Messed up IAT sensor
Any ideas? I tuned a JRSC powered B16 a while ago, first using c__m_ and then later eCtune. On both systems, IAT goes to -18 celcius as soon as manifold pressure goes above atmospheric. (like 1100mbar or so). Example... Before a pull: 39 degrees. (probably due to heat soak) During the pull: -18 degr...

Tuning closed loop
Just wanted to share some of my experience tuning closedloop on my own car. Engine: Stock ZC1 (identical to US D16A1) T25 turbo, DSM 390cc´s, 2 bar GM map. Narrowband O2 on D14, wideband on ELD for logging. I tuned my part throttle map very carefully to just slightly richer than stoich, AFR 13.8-14...

Full Throttle Shift
It seems as if FTS dosen´t react fast enough. My log clearly shows the clutch input changes, but FTS takes a little time to engage - and then a little time as well to disengage again. On my slow-ass ZC1 it is almost tolerable, but those with fast revving Vtec engines might not be so excited. By com...

How to tune decel fuel cut and tip-in?
I´m having a bit of difficulty in tuning decel fuelcut and tip-in just right, I´m hoping someone can help. I´m pretty sure this is a matter of user error on my part... however this is likely to be something others will have trouble with as well. What I´d like is for the eCtuned car to work, well...

Turn around time: In my experience, really quick. I sent over 5 samples (from Denmark, Europe mind you) wednesday last week, the results came in via e-mail this morning. They even ship you the sample containers for free But if you want the pump to take out a sample through the oilstick hole (I recom...

Oil sample analysis
(Might bt OT, I´d use the tuner Tech section if there was one) I wanted to bring your attention to something that is usually overlooked in tuning - keeping an eye on the condition of the engine. I use the services from blackstone-labs.com to analyze oil samples from my own and customer´s cars. Kee...

I have bought spark plugs from http://www.apwonline.com often, they usually ship really fast and prices seem okay too. And yes, the horror stories I heard were related to Iridium plugs too. Sorrry if my post wasn´t 100% clear on that. /Allan

How does the Honda ignition system hold up to the non-resistor spark plugs? I did a bit of searching for 8-plugs (with resistor) but could only find them as Iridium plugs. And as I heard a horror story or two from a well known member of the PGMFI community, well that sort of shortened the list of 8-...
