just to clarify, I made a new cal using the free version of eCtune on a computer here at work. I don't want to violate any terms with the licensing with my pro version... I'm not sure if it matters, or if Calvin would even care, I want to state that just in case. I'm with Bugermass and Gaskleppie, T...

a bin file is what is able to burned to a chip, the PRO license allows you to push the tuning information to an emulator (like an ostrich) which works just like a chip, but with pro, the emulator has to remain in the ECU at all times. With Pro you save what's called a cal file, this has all the info...

To me those issues you mention point to an issue with the cal, or an issue with your eCtune install. if you can, capture a datalog of it happening with the wideband in place. It will tell a lot more than the narrowband. Worst case, if you're up for it on the weekend, we could always meet up and I ca...

I'm not really seeing a spot that obviously shows the RPM or VSS jump or lag the throttle application. Then again it may be too subtle to see. It does seem like when you first crack the throttle the O2 shows a lean spike then it pulls to where it should be. To me this is a sign that the tipin is sti...

that's a very good friend to have. 8) I wasn't saying that they tuned your car, I've read enough of your posts to know that you know what you're talking about, and prefer to do things yourself like the rest of us. I was hinting that mikey would be able to help you with this problem. :) colder plug =...

A friend of mine picked up his M swap from them. it's an entirely different world when you get into EDM's. There's a lot more money flow involved. Most of their \"projects\" are cargasms waiting to happen. Note: profunction has a DD as well(all though not the AWD version) Plus they specialize in Hon...

I would think that a 50,000 dollar dyno is going to be more accurate than a 200 dollar wideband...... depends on what wideband they have, and where they placed it. it's not uncommon to see a little difference between the tailpipe mounted wideband and the one in the stock O2 location. whose dyno wer...
