European Honda integra type r JRSC 246WHP/238Nm at 9.5psi

Post by EITCP »

European Honda integra type r DC2 B18c6 engine JE 9:1 compression pistons (why so low???) Intercooler: laminova cores LHT kamikaze header 60mm exhaust (2.38\") fidanza cam gears short ram intake 68mm throttle body RC 440cc injectors 235WHP and 222Nm (163ftlb) on a MUSTANG DYNO Image eCtune (lighter) vs Neptune (darker) The car was previously tuned with Neptune chip system (street tuned) by Slovenian authorised tuner (darker lines on a dyno plot). The power at Full throttle was ok, but the customer complaint all the time about driveability, cold and hot start of an engine and on every second stop light the car would die (drop rpm to zero). The custome then decided to go for real thing ->ECTUNE. At the dyno sesion we found out he was using aftermarket homemade pulley for more boost, without marks for TDC, so we needed to fix that first, otherwise we couldn't synhronize the ignition with maps in eCtune. The car was then tuned on our (in house) Mustang dynamometer MD-250. With cam gears adjustments (INT+5, EXH+2)we extract 8-10Nm more, but the boost fall from 10 to 9,5 psi. We also fixed his throttle stuck issue and make his idle like it was been from the first day he bought the car. We also tuned middle load with brake on a dyno (steady state) and now the car drives like a champ. outside tempeatures were 20 C (68 F) and the intake temperature was 60C ( 140 ), measured after the blower and laminova cores. i think if the car wouldn't have such a low compression, we could extract about 15WHP more. The car will come back again in a month for custom tuning the length of his intake system.

Very good work. The compression rate is very low (9 instaed of 11). Some knock appeared during tuning? Gas used is pompe gas(sp98 or sp95)?

a little update. the owner sold that JRSC kit to somebody in Austria. We installed the kit and make new map for it. setup: honda integra type r JRSC supercharger with laminova cores SRP 10:1 pistons stock integra rods kamikaza header 68mm throttle body 60mm exhaust, rear muffler is Remus, 55mm. cam gears skunk2 tuner series boost the same as before eCtuned Image previous vs this setup. It seems that this is a good proof that JRSC likes compression. We picked around 17 Nm at the wheels just from higher compression. of course cam gears were adjusted also.
