As you can the power tapers off near redline... I think these Edlebrocks are really designed for high revs (10k) and possibly high boost. The Skank2 is a much more streetable option for a lower revving and lower boost car. Next test is to up the boost...then comes water injection :) Possibly switch to a 30r and see what happens as well!
I think you are right: we could hardly judge victor x is crap and the SK2 pro S2 is better. The Sk2 pro S2 is just more suitable to this set up. Intake manifold seem to have large influence over power gains. We must make the good choice according to other fitted parts (internals and bolts on). Why the skunk 2 pro instead of the edelbrock performer X which is really good for power band between 4500 rpm and 8800rpm? The victor X is aimed at very special engine (ultra high reving) I guess.
