IM Comparison - Skunk2 PRO Series vs. Edelbrock Victor X
So I got a chance to trade a fellow shop for the Edelbrock Victor X Manifold (which I didnt like at all) for a brand new Skunk2 Intake Manifold (PRO Series) for my GSR Head LSVTEC Turbo Setup. Comparison was done 1 day apart...days were comparable (but dyno accounts for atmospheric conditions). ALL THING LEFT EQUAL except changing manifolds. The tune was left the same...along it will be richened up a tad as it went a little lean for my liking. I also had to change my VTEC point down from 5600 to 4800 (more normal) and the shape of the graph actually looks nicer now. Anyone needs a Skunk2 IM...I can get em

As you can the power tapers off near redline... I think these Edlebrocks are really designed for high revs (10k) and possibly high boost. The Skank2 is a much more streetable option for a lower revving and lower boost car. Next test is to up the boost...then comes water injection Possibly switch to a 30r and see what happens as well!Boosted K20 wrote:it would be interesting to see the comparison on a 500+ hp setup rev n to 9K. for low HP looks like skunk2 owns

I am now a Snow Performance Dealer...I'll be running a stage 2 kit turning on above 11 psi. I may try hooking up a level sensor in the tank and routing it to eCtune to lower the boost if the tank goes dry as a safety feature. We'll see if I get that far.Boosted K20 wrote:xenocron, what setup will u be using? cooling mist? u gonna spray water or alcohol? we ran the cooling mist setup with alcohol on a few RX7s at our shop. we ran 500+ whp on pump gas using cooling mist setup spray n methanol
