OK So I got the Mr. Gasket kit and going to get started on it this week. From the instructions it says that I should mount the slashcut tubes recessed into the exhaust. My question is, would it make a huge difference if I were to drill the hole and mount it flush to the pipe or would doing it that way not give me the proper vacuum I would need? Your thoughts are appreciated !

Not sure what you're working with, but highest velocity will be dead in the center of a straight pipe. I believe you'll be entering a higher pressure area in the boundary layer.

for the venturi effect to work, the slash cut must be in the air stream. Mounting it flush will create positive pressure.
