Code 9: CKP (#1 TDC pickup)
Ok; I got something strange finishing my motor install: I got code 9 and no R's above 1K, but if I revved it before the CEL it revved fine, and if I held it above 2K, the CELL would remain off untill I got to idle for a little bit, or held it there for longer than ~2 min. Now; Sensor passes ohm reading, wiring passes test. ECU is good... The chart ends there via Honda. Short of digging up another distributor from pick'n'pull Anyone have any input or had this happen be4?

What motor? Most likely its in the distributor that is the problem. Make sure all the connections inside are tight and not corroded...

D15B8 with B7 head... nothing special. I already took that distributor apart, and transferred the internals from my D15B's distributor over... same problem. All checks via the honda manual lead to a dead end; it passes an ohm reading, the wiring on the car is good, and the ECU is good... kinda stumped. I am waiting on my paycheck to go to pick and pull to get another dist... these ones are a dime a dozen.

Yeah; I have gone thru 3 coils that checked ok but were bad; it's cause the spring off the top of the coil got lost so eventually it would start discharging thru the coil to the dist casing. Thanks for the input; I'll see if a good dist out of my buddies car fixes it.
