Wideband O2 Inputs

This is a spare ob2a-obd1 harness that I got. I want to use D12 for my wideband. The wire thats hanging on the pic is a knock sensor wire and it came off easy on the ecu plug side but it wont come off on the other side. My car is not equipped with a knock sensor so I figured, I can use the wire to re-pin it on D12. Do I need to completely remove the wire from the harness and move it to D12? or just cut that wire in half and use the female side and stick it on D12? I guess thats the part that I'm confused about.
