anyone ever seen white ground straps after a pull?
i meant to make a thread about this after i got off the dyno but forgot until now. I tried 3 different plugs and they all did the same thing. zfr6, zfr7, 4091. The ground strap was brilliant white which exposed the color change very vividly. I saw this as incredibly odd as i have never encountered a white ground strap before. The engine showed no negative signs and the plugs were crystal clear of any bad signs. anyone ever seen it?

mine look like that too. i believe its something in the fuel like suggested. i was also told that it could be to hot of a heat range causing the white. but since they are brand new plugs it would be difficult to tell if the heat range is correct as it usually takes a few thousand miles for the color to change to a proper brown.

its your fuel is supllemented with ethanol it leaves white crust on the plugs.. All the gas stations here have at least 10-15% ethanol in the regular fuels.. Its nothing to worry about. They are slowly making that standard acorss the US. I'm not sure how far its gotten but everywhere here in houston has at least 10% ethanol in pump gas.
