Computer Keyboard issues?

Hey guys, I have an Averatec 2150. Up until now it has been extremely reliable even with the hell it get put through day in and day out. My problem is that the keyboard is now typing stuff in without me touching anything. It does it intermittently, but I can put it in word and let it sit and the thing just starts freaking out. When I pull off the keyboard and reconnect it it seems ok for a bit, but then randomly starts to trip balls again. Sometimes its ok for a day, sometimes for 5 minutes. Has anyone seen this before? Is my keyboard just done? I plan on getting a new laptop this summer, as this one has been through a lot, but I dont really want to spend that money this soon? Any ideas?
