For socketing obd1 ecu's.. i know the sk5151's can't be ordered anymore...from all the places i have checked.. but i know a while ago some people started using IR6220's for high side switches. The IR6220's are obsolete on digikey, and i cant find them anywhere else!! Arg its frustrating... what does everyone do just stock pile them? Or snag used ones from auto ecus?

Auto ECu's are the best solution, although older ecu's use the SK5050's. They usually have 2x as many, and you can still use them for vtec in the newer ecu's if you use the mod detailed on pgmfi. Otherwise you can buy individuals from Xenocron. Someone once told me he got all of the junk OBD2 ecu's from a dealership, and all had a couple per ecu. The problem is some people think those ecu's are actually worth something.

I get mine from pick'n'pull... go find an auto or VTEC ecu and do a chipping/manual conversion job... or just cut/desolder them off the ECU at the junkyard to buy for a few cents at the register >=D
