Boost Leak Symptoms?

Post by co1simba »

Hey guys, Just got my turbo setup on and was driving around a bit. With the \"1st setup\" I was only getting 2psi boost on gauge (and ectune). I went home and changed the WG spring (was a little bit stiffer) and was still getting 2psi. I have one that is MUCH stiffer than the other two but am afraid that it will cause too much boost. Could the cut of 2 psi be caused by a leaky clamp? It gets up to 2 psi and holds it well without fluctuation. Should I just not be a baby and go with the bigger spring (or even a combination of them)? Thanks

it has to be no spool, defective gate, or my fav which it almost always is: boost leak. make a pressure cap you can pump up to see if it holds pressure.
