hello everyone, my friend has a 2002 CH1 euro accord type-r with a h22a7, i personally never looked at the ecu/wiring so i dont know whats going on over there , so i can verify if it matches a obd2a or b pinout... we want to give it a shot and see if its possible to use a conv harness and a tuned p28. does anyone have an idea? thanks

				I also got a Accord type-R(EDM) with H22a7 engine. It's OBD2B

But, if you use a harnas it will give a cell. Crankshaft sensor... you will need a H22a OBD1 distributor and rewire. Got mine up and running on OBD1 last week.

huh? I have tuned a bit on a couple of type R´s. No problem with distributors. The major annoyance you´re likely to see is the idle control valve. In the ATR it´s the modern 3-wire type and will need to be replaced as the OBD1 ECU cannot control it. Other than that, I don´t recall anything out of the ordinary. /Allan

I've tried it without the distributor.... and gives a cell code. No matter what! Tried Boomslang harnas and a cheap Ebay one... both the same problem. I think the EDM ATR uses some sort of differant distributor(it's got a 4 wire one).

One of the sensors is placed on the crank, that´s all. Same as some of the other iterations of H22 actually. I know that I positively did not replace the distributor. /Allan

I did one and also suffered crank errors. the only thing that worked was a different dizzy.
