Tuning an automatic d16...

Hey guys, just wondering if its possible to tune a 95 civic vtec with an automatic.tranny, and if possible, what's the best way to do so. Thanks.

Looks like topic has much info on auto b16 transmission setups, but not much on obd1 d16 auto setups. Anyone has first hand experience with such animal ? Thanks.

it's basically the same thing, but it's harder to do the mid-vacuum portion of the map... You have less control over load and rpm... Aside from that it is basically the same principals as tuning a manual.

Thanks. Any tips on which ecu I should tune with? And is there a different procedure to chip the auto ecu?

I guess i just answered my own question, but maybe with a wrong asnwer. Should say, is the auto ecu able to be chipped, and is there a different chipping procedure?

Same procedure just start with an auto rom.... Or rather... Start with your auto ecu specified when making your first .cal.
