Request - Forsch Polymer

Post by civic4g »

Hi mates I'm thinking of moding my torque mounts filling them with Polyurethane but, as usual, I'm having a hard time finding this stuff in my country, Portugal. So I'm opening this post to see if anyone kind enough would do me the favour of buy one can of Forsch Polymer grade 60A ( ref. 8644K24 at www.mcmaster-carr.com ) and forward it to me? McMaster wont ship internationally. And please don't tell me to buy aftermarket torque mounts or use 3M window weld :) I've found a store in UK that sells a similar product, Devcon Flexane, but it's 3 times more expensive. If anyone is interested in more info about this stuff and final result, please check: http://www.superhonda.com/forum/f94/diy ... ts-204274/

A lot of people over here in the UK use a product called Tiger Seal. You can get it off ebay.... Sorry if its the same stuff as the window seal stuff.. I used it on my last CRX and it certainly did the trick. However you could feel a small amount of vibration when in the car!

Why not just save the hassle and install some Avid Billet torque mounts? There not very expensive, they are a bit harsh however. Those rigged up inserted mounts always fall to pieces in the end. They feel decent at first but they loosen up in time after their break in and the slop comes back. Inserted mounts are a whole lot better than 100% oem mounts however. Window weld just separates in time, maybe its because we never prime the surfaces. My fal back glass has be black duct taped onto carbon hatch, its been re window welded 3 times in 5k miles.
