Running richer after Toda header.

Post by civic4g »

Hello guys I was running an oem header and a few months ago I've decided to buy a Toda header, for my surprise, after install, I was getting richer afr's when I was expecting to get leaner afr's and add fuel as necessary. Where my expectations wrong? Anyone can explain why this happened? Thanks in advance

where is your o2 sensor located? and how much heat you lost after installing your header.. normally it runs leaner but you think that it runs richer. It is not correct.

o2 sensor is at stock location. I don't have a way to tell how much heat I've lost but it's normal that EGT are lower at o2 reading point since header pipes are thinner and header is not heat wrapped.

Strange... I'd imagine if its done your car any good then you should be leaner. What header was on before ? When you say richer, where about is it richer ? i.e low down ? high up ?

Before I had an OEM ITR EDM header (4-2-1 2.25 outlet). I didn't compare the low cam fuel map yet, but in high cam fuel map is requesting less fuel everywhere.
