eCtune at the Nürburgring

eCtune is definitely not only useful for the quartermile. I just returned from the Nürburgring with a couple of friends on eCtune, amongst them an EK4 with a bone stock engine + GT2554 turbo. ~240 horsepower might not sound like much, but in a relatively light car with a wide torque band, a decent suspension and semislicks you can surprise a lot of people in much more expensive modern cars. Driveability is exactly as if the car had come from the factory with the turbo. AFR is tuned for mid-high 11s to keep those standard pistons cool. (Props to anyone who can identify the corner the picture was taken

Yes it does have an external oil cooler, but the engine itself is completely standard. I didn´t manage to do an eCtune log round the ´ring itself this time - planning to get that done in July. /Allan

Absolutely right! Very nice picture, almost like from a video game! We (TypeR club benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and luxembourg)) are going to spend a weekend in July at the ring. Maybe you can come also? Would be nice!

I´ll be back july 8th-11th. There´s the truck GP on that weekend, making it a little harder to find hotels. But on the other hand, as most hotels are booked by Stetson-wearing people on the binge, that means more room at the Nordschleife for us

Awesome video ! 9 minute lap, not bad considering you had to slow a few times for traffic. That guy in the Supra was a douche...he pulled right thought he was gonna let you go by and then he floored it. Looks like good fun !
