GPO activation & usage question...

Post by HiProfile »

If you set a GPO input and a condition like TPS=100%, does it activate when both the input is switched on AND tps=100%, or if either happens, like tps=100% and input=on? edit: I have another question now. I think I can do what I want using both GPO 1 & 2, except both using the same output (IAB in this case). Basicly I want 2 conditions to switch to the 2nd maps - one if I'm >90% throttle, one if I switch on an input. Its for an e-cutout, and I want to have it either 'always-on' or 'TPS-conditional'. Will this work, using GPO 1 & 2 with the same actual output (IAB)?

I was just curious about diode usage. If I have a relay that is activated seperately by a switch AND the GPO, would I need a diode between the relay/GPO wire? Or does the ecu already have them in place? I don't want to activate the relay via switch and blow up the GPO circuit. If I need one, would a 1N4001 work okay? Its only 12v & under 1/4 amp.
