jab throttle at idle = retarded timing?

Post by ultra spikey »

When I give the throttle a little jab during idle, it takes a second for the rpms to actually go up. So I looked at the log and it was showing that as soon as I hit the throttle it retards timing about 10 degrees. Is this normal? I played with something in ignition correction(dont remember what it was, not in front of ectune) to see if I could help it, but nothing.

It was the \"RPM Based Retard\" I messed with. I changed the default -10.5 degree retard to 0 degrees to see if it would help but did not.
