Input Question

Post by sohcd16y8 »

Im looking to wire in two Inputs for EBC and most likely Burnout control. The two switches I have are wire ground-switch-ecu. My question is, which inputs can I select that are looking to be grounded for activation or are all of them? What does each input look for? 12v or ground? What does the invert option do on each one? I found the list of outputs in the help section and what each does, but I cant find any info on inputs. Thanks guys.

The invert option is for just that, inverting the input condition; not inverting the voltage, inverting the condition. Most basic sensor inputs are switched to ground, and the rest I believe are a 0-5V scale (or 0-3.5). This can easily been seen on a schematic for the car; look at an input on the list, then look at the schematic; see how that sensor operates. simple.

Yeah I got that much, I was just hoping that there was some list floating around like there is for the outputs. Would make life a bit easier. Thanks for the info! Looks like Ill just have to pick two ground inputs then.

you might find such a list on pgmfi.org.... not sure though, maybe just use the schematics of the inputs/outputs on the ECU that have been posted...

Have they been posted? See thats what I was looking for in the first place but could only find outputs. I tried a few different searches for the thread titles for inputs but came up with nothing.

All inputs are ground except for brake switch and starter signal iirc.

Thanks for that. I will still verify with the schematic, but that helps start me in the correct direction.

Just a follow-up: brake switch and starter signal are definitely power. I used D4 service connector and D6 vtec pressure switch as my inputs which are ground. As for the others on the list I didnt check.
