Fresh Build..No idle

Post by Gonzo »

Been having problems with my Z6 Vitara build. The car was driving fine for a few days and also on the day it died. I drove it in the morn and when i went to drive it down to the dyno the car starts to runs like it doesnt have a map sensor. I hooked the stock back up and it will run at about 1-2k but if you go above that it sounds like a knock/backfire. Also will still die if it goes below 1k. It wont start up unless i have the gas pushed in to the floor and when it kicks over i let off enough to keep it running. My buddy has the same build on a Y8 and he is having the same problems. Please help! also i have not updated the car to the newest update but please just take a look and see if you see something thats wrong. Thanks

Have you checked for a vacuum leak?

sounds like you need to trace your steps and ensure everything on the engine was installed properly. are you able to pull any CEL codes via eCtune? are you running an aftermarket ecu conversion harness? Sometimes i have seen the pins lose their connection and cause problems without throwing a code so you might want to look there. are you tuning yourself or is this being done by an authorized tuner? How are you monitoring AFR? if you are seeing boost at idle, then you would have to have one hell of a vacuum leak for it to pull boost. I dont know if thats even possible.

i pulled the VC and adjusted the valves and it is pulling normal vacuum now. When i started the new cal the boost/vac thing went away. the car seems to run fine now. heres a new Log take a look and see if you see anything that jumps out at you. No CEL's No harness its all OBD1 to OBD1 car Im using a Wideband
