new ectune software coming out?????

i don't know where i found this and i cant seem to find it again, but i read a post about there will be a new software version coming out soon, is this true? i was wondering what it is, is it like a upgrade, something like new windows software, like upgrading from windows vista to windows 7? will new features be added i.e. anti start, having more overlays, better options and graphs? i was just curious, i know i read it somewhere on this forum but i cant seem to find it again. it said something about everyone was going to have to get new licenses and new ones would be issued.
