I need to update my laptop harddrive because I'm running out of space. I have like 5gb free space anyway, I'm planning on cloning my old hdd to the new hdd. My machine id that's registered to ectune should stay the same correct? and I wouldn't need to request a license after the cloning?

Demon: no. It's based off a hardware serial. Ostrich: yes. The hdd will change your systemid. Just go through the original install process: register initially forgetting you ever had a license.xml. Once reg sent; email Calvin as stated in other threads.
