I will have to re-gap my plugs and/or sort out my ignition problem before I can test much on the shifting. I do see what xenocron is describing though. It only happens on very rapid shifts. I can hit the red line and shift slow to moderate and its fine.. its only when I really bang gears such as a timed track run that I notice a miss fire and hesitation between shifts. The LM1 will log a rapid off the scale lean (which may be false due to miss fire) then off the scale rich single spikes then back to the proper afr. I have tried adjusting the fuel cut delay from 0 to 900 in about 200ms increments but no change in high speed shifting. Seems it has something to do with a rapid change in rpm. Like I said though.. before I get my intermittent WOT miss fire to go away I am in no shape to judge anything ignition related. :D I also notice if I punch the gas and let off my trace block will go to the last column for a split second. I am pretty sure Calvin told me how to fix this but I have since lost the email. Edit: xenocron, you didnt happen to notice if the cars you were tuning with this problem were running DSM injectors with a resistor box.

i'm lsoing it. Is this tip in related. eg crusing and then tps 100% or is this something during shifts? We have to sort this out. It can be multiple things... I see 2 problems here. 1) Tip in during cursing 2) During shift lean/rich condition.. Listen if your trace block jumps to last column there should be a notification in eCtune now. That you need to lower mbar on column 1. I'll explain briefly. Map value = 90mbar Column 0=110mbar Overflow. I show as it read last column because i cap it. e.g. if column > last column = trace = last column. but in the rom it can read anywhere. Solution Lower your first column to 70mbar. Try that first. I think this can cause the shift problems.. e.g. You have x afr during shift, tps=0, mbar goes lower then column0 and read lean or rich from the rom somewhere. Say you read lean. You think tps tip should be higher and you make it higher next thing you know you have a rich condition because it's to rich. Makes sense?

yes, that make sense completely. I just figured that you couldn't change the first column header, like with C*r*O*m*E. I will try that and let you know.

Thanks for the reply and explanation. My tip during rapid 100% TP seemes to be corrected at this point. It was just a matter of finding the correct value. Changing the values to display as percentages helped alot.. I didnt know you could do that. I will adjust the column 0 mbar to a lower value to get the trace jump to go away and then work on the shifting from there.

ok. I'm glad my explanation helped. Let me all know. it will save more then 10 hours to compare my code to the orginal code to find something that is not there. Most of the time i have my tipin in good after 3-5 tries. As for trace going to the end please. Test and play in r6 there should be a notification. You will only get this notification when datalogging not when playing back. Please see if this notification work and let me know.

Calvin...maybe we can set up a time where you can log into my computer while my car is on the dyno. I will EASILY be able to show you what happens although you wont FEEL it. it more prevalent with High RPM shifts because there is a greater load there I think... the amount of the problem varies based on the throttle position START and STOP and also based on the RATE OF THROTTLE CHANGE (Delta TPS). Starting from LIGHT load and BANGING on the throttle hard I always see lean spot...varying the Tip In Multiplier only affects the rich spot AFTER this initial lean \"blip\" If I increase multipler (richer) I will see an immediate 16-17 afr and then goes VERY rich. If I decrease Tip In...still see the very same lean AFRs, but the rich spot AFTER goes away. The BOG or the sputter is definitely 100% caused by the LEAN spot and not the rich...

i was reading an lod topic that xenocron posted. An tuner did something else... Try this... Adjust the whole fuel map with a percentage until you have a proper idle. Tune from there see if you still have a lean condition on tipin or how the tipin is without adjusting. Thanks for doing that.

I often have this tip in problem but ususally I can take out like 20-30% tip-in, then go drive the car into VTEC and make sure the part throttle IN VTEC is tuned out.. doing this always clears up the problem.. Another note, you must pay special attention to fuel cut in VTEC if you set your fuel cut delay kinda fast.. I was noticing at one point that I was actually hitting fuel cut while shifting at high RPM with the motor staying in VTEC the whole time.. Kinda weird.. By the way fuel cut conditions are still not 100% working correctly..

they are working but it has an other the delay. what we adjust should be good. Mbar cut is not a real mbar it's used in a routine that determents something again that is used in fuelcut
