What happens during the cranking procedure?

That is what I was thinking in the first place too, (faulty STS) as it wouldn't be the first time the harnas causes a problem. During initial installation CKP/CYL (TDC) was having problems. The pin in the OBD1 connector wasn't that fresh. But.. that problem was about 2 or 3 months ago. I fixed it and afterwards I didn't had any problem ever since, and I also haven't changed anything to the ROM settings. So the software is still the same and the harnas is untouched. Because the OBD1 connector wasn't that fresh during initial installation, I already had the plan to get some fresh OBD1 connectors and redo the harnas job. (current harnas is a second hand DIY job.) BUT... if it IS a problem with the harnas, I should also have problems during normal operation. But that is not the case. If the engine finaly runs, it runs as smooth as silk. I drive my car for 45 minutes, twice a day, four days a week. Which is about 400 to 450km a week. The only problem is starting after not using the car for 9 or more hours. Frank told me this... and sounds most plausible to me... During cranking the batterij voltage can drop a lot. 1.5 to 2 volt is pretty normal. With a bad coil this 10 volt is to low for the coil to produce a strong spark. Resulting.... cranking, cranking, cranking... nothig. When te key is released, voltage comes back to normal level of 12v, which IS enough for the coil to produce a strong spark. As a result of the cranking the engine still moves a bit and passes TDC.... Oh yes... bang... strong spark. But engine already had to less momentum to really get alive. After a few of this last moment strong spraks, the engine finaly comes alive.. slowly. And then 5 seconds later... everything is fine. Engine idles as it should. I can even turn of the engine at this point and restart without any single problem. Doesn't sound as a harnas problem to me, right? Maybe this weekend (saterday evening) there is some time to put my coil from the OBD0 distributor to the OBD1 dizzy and give it a try.
Does someone have a oem or mild tuned B16A? And is he/she willing to put his/her crank table. I want to verify my crack table:

When I put my calibration here... would someone be able to have a quick view at the tables which are used during cranking and directly after. Just to make sure the ' software' is fine. Currently I'm running a JDM B16A (2nd gen) with only some simple i/h/e mods. So nothing really special. injectors are low res. with res.box. But I don't think that would be the problem. Because once the engine is running it's running very smooth and very well. So it it's really something during and/or just after cranking. Haven't checked the coil yet

Tuning is roughly done now. Still running open loop because I'm not fully finished yet. But man... That previous dizzy was really bad. I noticed a lower torque when swappend from OBD0 to OBD1 but thought that had to do with the fact the dizzy wasn't timed yet. Now with the new dizzy mounted the same way (without timing) as the previous one already made a day/night difference. Timing didn't took to long. It was spot on already, hahahaha. calibrated the throttle TechEdge was already calibrated and no also insynch with the readings on my laptop. So... playing could begin. First (offcourse) tested the ignition cut for LC. Don't put the pedal to the floor!!! It will hurt your ears.
With just a moderate amount of throttle it gives nice roll. PRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Well... enough playing. I made a nice cruise along the country side. Watching cows, horses and my laptop
Logging went well. Everything is working perfectly. After trying to hit all the cells a few times I stopped to see what the results where. Not to bad!! I made the suggested changes and went for the second run. Again trying to hit all the cells. Perfect!! Next step.... the high cams . But I'm done for today. Need to change clothes because we are having a BBQ tonight at a friends place. Oh.... one thing I noticed during decaleration.... fuel cut toggles on/off 2 to 3 times when getting closer to the MAP threshold. Probably have to change the load parameter for the decel fuel cut.
