I have been looking, but I am trying to find out does this EMS has the boost by gear feauture such as s300? It sounds real useful on paper, especially with higher power levels but how practical is it really??

Yep; It's in eCtune, and it's beneficial, so you can set a launch boost target, but there are many uses.
