i have ostrich 2.0 and hulog extreme with updated firmware and newest ectune pro i can connect to the ostrich and upload map but it wont communicate to the ecu i do not see the mil light flash 3 times and my datalogging does not work at all. ideas?

then there is a problem between ostrich and ecu. what color is the connect when you are connected to emulator? did you put the ostrich cable properly in the ecu?

its green. ostrich cable is correcty connected to the ecu

the red stripe on the ribbon cable is facing towards the middle of the ecu. that should be ok right?

That is correct. Is the ecu a known good one?

yes the ecu sould be fine the car runs normal. but i cannot communicate with the ecu. ribbon cable is fine too

any more ideas?

on ostrich info the firmware version is 9. is that the newest one?

yes the car runs like before. ectune connects to ostrich. but i cannot affect the engine in any way. datalogger cannot connect to ecu either

do you have real-time update enabled?

when uploading the first time upload base rom & cal and verify it

real time update is enabled. it verifies correctly, the emualtor works fine, i can load a map into the emulator and download it to the laptop later. but the mil light should give 3 flashes when i have loaded a basemap & calibration to the emulator right? in this case it do not flash, just the regular flash when i hear the fuel pump.

are you sure that de jumper J1 in the ecu is ON? is you remove the ostrich, the car start?

what is jumper j1? i have removed j12 tough. yes, the car starts without the ostrich.
