I dunno, my tuner and i was tuning the car and it was going good, really fast, i thought it was all good. Once he burned the chip and put it in my ecu we started it, and it idles fine. When i go to rev it a little, my main relay clicks like crazy and my rpm needle jumps all over the place. So i put my old chrome chip back in, and it runs PERFECT. Any ideas?

Calvin to add to this; since removing the JRSC and running a stock D15B8, and a fresh basemap; I get random relay clicking myself; Mostly when cold and in a lower gear. I am wondering if it is my J1 switch; I suggest to the OP that it be checked; and furthermore that you check the connection between the ostrich cable and the ECU as well..

Tuner is Tony @ Facetuned Tuning No it seemed to work the whole few hours we were tuning. When he takes it out, and burns on chip, it goes crazy!! Ok, we tune for like 2 hrs...drives PERFECT. Go back to the shop to set it up on a chip so i can go home. The chip makes it jump and click. But i guess with the ostrich it runs good..

I think log #3 has it happening, and I have included 2 other logs in case it is not present there. mostly to be found near the beginning of the log, and normally below 4th gear; when it clicks, sometimes during acceleration it will cause the tranny to pop out of gear... but luckily I keep my hand on the shifter... Running ostrich 1.0 Everything is OEM on the car aside from headers; .cal available upon request. If you can't find it in the logs, I will wait till my car is cold, then start logging before cranking, and see if I get it to happen on a shorter log; I am sure I can get it for you easily if need be.

OP> Try a different chip. That's the only variable. Jared> Yours may actually be a failing main relay or if you're using a hulog when this occurs, check the wires. From what I've seen if you connect a hulog to CN2 while the car is running it will cause a reset. If the wires are loose this could happen over and over. The Hulog is powered by USB when it's plugged into the laptop so you'd never see it on the PC side of things.

This is also the case with later versions of the Nokia DKU5 cable. When the cable is connected to the ECU but NOT to the laptop it causes random resets of the ECU from time to time. When cable is disconnected from ECU, or is connected WITH a laptop, everything is fine.

Mine is anytime, connected or not; didn't seem to do it with my DSM injectors and resistor box; but no wiring is modified in my car so this is why I am confused it's happening; the main relay was already replaced (out of suspect) with a known good one... no go. I just didn't want to mention it untill I ruled out mechanical other than eCtune; It started when I took the JRSC off my car, and put the OEM manifold and injectors on.... never had an issue with either of these before... and all I did was swap intake manifold.... (and restore regular dummy plug for resistor box to not be used). all wiring checks out too.

I tried many different chips....Whole bunch of brand new ones. I dont really think my Chip could be the ONLY factor, it could be Ectune. cause chrome works like a charm on ANY chip i burn/reburn it on to. My tuner said he emailed the head guy here the other day. Said something about trying to save it as .bin and trying it out, still nothing, ring any bells Calvin?

rings no bells. Is not the first car your tuner tuned. He did multiple others cars before with out problems. So it's either harness/ecu/car related nothing else.. not eCtune.
i think i might have a bug on my hands, in the past two day i was trying to tune two cars one a 91 crx and a 00 integra both had the same issue with it grounding out the main fuel relay. and causing the ecu fuse to blow. im gonna do more research first, has anyone else had an issue like this.
I have never seen software blow an ecu fuse.. This tells we wiring/car/harness.. Remember it's a 00 car probably with harness. I have seen multiple times bad harnesses...

If software is fine how is it not perfect then? It cant be my car, harness is fine, no check engine, runs like a champ. I dunno, i just got this feeling its not my car...never had ANY problems like this from any other tuning softare: turboedit, Chrome, and i can bet if i put uberdata or some other obd1 tuning software with a basemap on there, i can rev it just fine...
