Code 20, ELD with ectune?

Okay, i never had this code 20 ELD (electrical load detector) (voltage high i think?) before until i started using ectune. It first showed up when i went to get my car tuned by an authorized tuner, and the code showed up, and he said it was normal.I had never seen the code before. Now with my own ectune, and my own ostrich the same thing happened i would get a code 20 ocasionally , on my datalogging my ELD voltage is like 4.8 sometimes fully at 5.0V. The car idles funny. Next i start to wonder if its something wrong with my ecu...so i take it over to my friends car and plug it in his car, and he nevr had the code 20 befiore either...i boot up ectune and same deal..code 20. I plug his hondata unit back in hat he uses and no code... The only variables are the ecu, and ECtune itself. To take away fromt he ecu being the possibility it was the same ecu i ran with crome, and never got a code 20 with it until i put ectune on it. Which lead me to belive it was ectune..hence why i am posting here. I want to know if anyone else has had this issue, and if so, what caused it and how did u fix it?

did you disable ELD? are you using ELD input for something?

you can disable ELD... there should be anything going on unless you use your ELD input and it flips out of reach.... i just checked the code.. the stock ecu will throw a code if the eld raw value is >= 0xdc (4.3v) or raw value <= 0xe(0.274v) There you go.. Don't blame software.. check your helms manual i'm sure you will find something . You saying your are seeing 4.8v that is 0xf4.

Stock ecu or chipped with crome will not show code 20 unless there's a real problem somewhere else, like IAT, vtec malfunction, etc... What about eCtune Calvin ?

eCtune will report code 20 if ELD and CLOSELOOP are enabled if the raw value is out of spec. Closeloop disable flag(disable closeloop + ve correction(stock)) is checked it will disable ELD and ELD code

i am not blaming ectune, i am trying to figure out whats going on..logically. VE correction is disabled, and closed loop is off, and so is o2 heater. when the code is thrown the car starts to idle different. The wierd thing is...ectune says in the sensors window that the MIL is \"ON\", however it does not turn on in the dash.... code 20 shows up in ectune error codes window, but not in the dash...and yes the check engine light works. I'm at a loss for ideas, im just trying to provide as much info as i can to someone who might be able to help. I tired my friends hondata unit in my car the other night, i didnt get an ELD code but the eld voltage was still 4.8 ish... so hondata might handle that a bit different. Another wierd thing, when we tried my ectuneunit in his car, to get it to idle , we had to add double the fuel in the raw fuel values...he has 750 cc RC injectors as well...except his are low impedence and he runs a resistor box. i dont know what the deal is lol.

oh..and how do i disable ELD input..? can i do it explicitly? or is it done indirectly by disabling closed loop, and VE corrections?

disable ELD option

You and your friend may have the same injectors cc but they are not the same at all. Do not expect them to act the same. Yours will deliver more fuel.

Crome is P30 based, eCtune is P72 based software. Maybe thats the difference.

first day I got ectune to run my car I got this same situation, mil on in ectune, not on my dash. I drove the car that morning with a crome chip, swapped to ectune and it gave me that mil. I havn't had enough time to really play with it.

garrett what code was ectune showing? in the error codes? I figured it may have something to do with what ecu base i started with. so i did one starting with a p28 map on my engine d16y7, then i did one on a gsr, started with a p72map, and same result... still dont know.. I am afraid i cant do much more tresting now on my car because it is torn apart again.. :( that is one issue though, MIL on in ECtune, but not on in dash...something fishy seems to be happenikng there eh?

ELD doesn't turn on MIL.
