				new laptop

				i dunno if this is the right section. but anyways i got a new laptop. the old one isn't portable anymore lol. so what do i need to do to get ectune up and running on the new computer.

				load eCtune on your new lappy;  and go through the registration steps again;  once you get the confirmation with license (may take a little to confirm change) then you connect the ostrich, request license, and it will be sent to you almost right away... close ectune... get license out of email, replace previous one, and presto.    back up and running.

				yep;  they have to do validation etc... if it's being installed on the same laptop it's waaaay quicker I think... but never the less, it will come

				Same boat here, bought a new laptop so I can give the other one to the wifey.    Windows Vista is confusing, well it's my first time using it.  I think I have to get a new serial to usb adapter for the LC-1.  The prolific driver that I need to use is not supported by Vista according to prolific.

				Got mine too!!up and running again.   New laptop kicks ass.  4hours on battery power!  versus my old acer's 45min battery power.  Now the old lady is complaining 

 gotta get her a new battery.    Calvin, I remember seeing your post about a serial to usb converter, I think it was an ebay link.  I can't find it.  Got it on a bookmark?
