wiring zex dry kit to be activated by the outputs
Ive been looking everywhere for directions on how to hook up the zex box. I can only find directions to hook up regular solenoids. So my question is how can i wire up to activate the box? It activates now on TPS voltage. Is there any outputs i could wire to that would output 5volts when active?

due to the way that the zex kit works, I wouldn't recomend trying to use the eCtune outputs to control it, your better off wiring it normal, and just using dual maps, you can use a dual pole switch to active your secondary maps and turn on your zex box at the same time. but honestly, I'd sell the zex and get a standalone dry kit and let the ecu control it.

it's easy.. 2 relays... 1st relay that is wired to a GND swith turns power on to the zex box and give an INPUT on the ecu gnd that NOS/OUTPUT is active 2nd relay is used to send 5v to the zex box. You will have to program your zex box first. You will have to max it turn on by full TPS 4.xx V. When you send 5v with the relay it will turn on. 5v volt can be used from the 2nd before last pin on D connector(obd1)

im not really following what you mean by using the relays.. Can you please make a very broken down explanation of exactly what to do i would greatly appreciate.. im just not understanding the relayscalvin wrote:it's easy.. 2 relays... 1st relay that is wired to a GND swith turns power on to the zex box and give an INPUT on the ecu gnd that NOS/OUTPUT is active 2nd relay is used to send 5v to the zex box. Sorry I guess what I was trying to say is that due to the way the zex kit works, its a hassle to setup.. Better off trading somone for a simple dry kit.calvin wrote:it's easy.. 2 relays... 1st relay that is wired to a GND swith turns power on to the zex box and give an INPUT on the ecu gnd that NOS/OUTPUT is active 2nd relay is used to send 5v to the zex box. check the jets; make sure they arent dirty/plugged.. (in that cylinder) I would want to say try it back as it was, to see if it happens again, but that would be an expensive potential failure to test... could it be injector related? I.E. clogged, etc... did your fuel increase change fuel pressure at all, thus taking away from overall AFR in the nitrous setup? I am assuming it's not direct port... so this could be ruled out too... somehow I just suspect the injector... it seems most logical. that's an odd thing to happen if your using a non-direct-port setup.... odd for the nitrous to be cusing this.
