I have wireless internet via USB port- through sprint. Will this cause a problem when trying to setup firmware for my ostrich? Do I need to disconnect it while setting up hardware, and do I need to have ostrich connected to ECU while performing setup? Thanks

I think that you just have to to choose the right COM port and don't worry for the rest SB ports in use. But I'm a newb :)

I have the ostrich installed and updated, along with the Ex. hulog. Now do I need to be plugged to the ECU? When I open ectune it says datalogger up top. when I go to settings, I can't change anything. should I change the com ports on laptop to match ectune?

if it says datalogger, you need to register ectune. once you register the program you will get a license back in an email; that license "license.xml" goes into the ectune folder; then it should say eCtune PRO, once done, then you connect the ostrich (won't be greyed out anymore in the menus) and register it; you should instantly get another license.xml in your email for this license, put it in the ectune folder overwriting the old one, and re-load ectune... it should work fine after that. what your describing is an unregistered version of eCtune.

How, or can I upload a P30-901 JDM A/T bin to ectune? or are the stock P30 files in Ectune good to start with?

you can start a new .cal; or just go to yours and in the parameters pane, enable the auto tranny code. Pretty easy =) making a new .cal just enables/disables default features in the ROM... rather than thinking like CROME where there are multiple codebases... Calvin brought them all together into his own codebase.

No there is no p30 with at function in ectune. the only way AT will work is with a separate TCU
