I have a CRX with a OBD-1 Converted System. p28, chipped. and I cannot connect the datalogging port. removed and Installed drivers. Removed and installed 3 versions of windows. OST2 never failed to work in all test cases. HondaLog, seems to pass Loopback tests.(return CH in a terminal, open to hondalog COM port) Jaw Unit, Works every time without fail. before I got eCtune, I attempted to use crome free, and freelog, it ALWAYS came back with \"john cui datalogging script not found\", no matter combnation of versions, and script versions i used. I moved up in the world, coming to eCtune, everything is working out great, unless I need datalogging, (can't tune without it). so, here I am. any ideas?

did you remove the jumper on the ecu?

Sure did, j12 is cut on the left terminal, (when the ROM socket is at the lower right), and raised vertical. done so, there ARE times where j12 WAS needed. (at least that was my understanding back in the day)

From your post it´s unclear whether or not you have an eCtune ROM (Ostrich) in the ECU. Without the proper eCtune code in the ECU, eCtune on the PC cannot connect. Does your check engine light show that the eCtune ROM is active? You should see the usual long blink followed by 2 or 3 short blinks. /Allan

fresh CAL uploaded to the licenced and paired OST2, no CEL lights (think it's blown) port at 38400. car run's and drives with base CAL, (funny enough, better than the crome)

Fix the cell light! Only if you know for sure you got no cell, you cant be sure what is causing this.
