ITB TPS based load ? questions

Hi everybody. I'm waiting for my ectune package pro + hulog + ostrich and i'm wondering if there is someone here who have tried to tune ITB on TPS based load. I already searched on the forum but there is not many information about this feature. Can we tune from 0 to 100 % ? 0% for the idle resolution ? Can we disable the IACV ? ( i'm not using it, letting the throttle plates slightly opened for idle ) my Home made setup is
http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/8833/dsc01272qk8.jpg 954 cbr Throttles, 240cc stock injectors sohc F20A4 ( 2000cc ) with 0.040 milled head ( approx 10.5 :1 cr ) 272/272 camshaft, etc... It seems there is no base map for the sohc F serie ? I know that we can find the ign values on the P11 ECU ROM. I'v not received the package yet, but it would be much appreciated if someone can make me a basemap, TPS based, with correct fuel /ign to start with ! thanks Christophe

eCtune has the \"Alpha-N\" method which allows you to base the load on MAP sensor at low loads. This can make it easier to dial in a stable AFR. Actually if you have 2 vacuum connections on each cylinder, you can use the IACV to make a nice ECU controlled idle. Use 1 set for idle and brake booster, and the 2nd for MAP sensor. Back in the Crome days I did this, although with a mechanical FITV. It should be re-tuned for Crome soon, though and we indend to use an IACV this time. I´d like to see if we can tune an ITB engine to near-stock driveability with eCtune. /Allan

That is a completely awesome approach to the problem... never would have thought of doing it that way... this makes ITB's completely possible with the IACV to be able to get the car to idle well.... with enough adjustment/tuning you could probably get ITB's to idle just like stock.

I have done an ITB car last week. Its a race car so its running full TPS based. It was barely pulling some vacuum so I decided to use TPS only. I had to change the TPS map values to get it running good in lower tps levels. I will post the .cal soon in the files section. eacv is shut of, like a lot of other things. No problem.

Hi thanks for your responses. I already tried the Map approach with crome, T ing vacumm connections from each cylinders. it was 0 vacuum @ something like 10% throttle. The MAP singal readings were terribly eratic, even low throttle parts seemmed difficult to tune. I don't really care about idle stuff or street driveability, just want a funny car

Gaskleppie> about the low throttle TPS value you have changed, you mean you have added more resolution for the low parts ? like 0% 5% 10% 15% 20% 25% 40% 60% 80% 100% . How do you set the idle ? I'm waiting to see your .cal

Questions : Someone can give me a little explanation about the low and high cam table ? Since my car is a sohc non vtec, where i am supposing to tune ? Maybe using just the low table, but there is no resolution after 7000 rpm ? thanks

single cam on high rpm is always difficult but not impossible. You can choose to use the high cam (map) only. If you do that you cam rev to the moon if you want. But if you do that, you have to set the revs columns right and the timing also if you know what I mean. I give you 2 .cal's 1 with high cam only. watch out, this is a toda killer cam engine so its quit extreme and 1 with a normal high/low cam map, both TPS based roms.
