i am not using vista. after i get the error pictured and i click ok, i get a message that says: could not parse or load the settingsfileC:\\program files\\ectune\\settings\\settings.xml

guys i havent changed anything from the 10 hours earlier that i was using it. The laptop was in sleep mode. Pulled it out of sleep mode and tried to open it and these are the problems i am receiving.

Reboot and it'll work fine I'd bet.Lots of times my computer screws up in sleep mode

if not one of the files are damaged. try deleting all the pref files in the settings directory and restart ectune

ok i deleted everything except the settings.xml file and now i get this error: "unable to find assembly 'eCtune, version=0.02.1, culture=neutral, publickeyToekn=6ab39c117085a55.' along with the other settings error

I think you got Calvin wrong: you should have deleted only the pref files in the settings directory...

no i didnt. I did that exact thing and thats what happened. Regardless, i chatted with calvin over the phone and the problem is solved.
